Business Taxation

The Government reaffirms its commitment to 12.5% Corporation Tax – “the 12.5% tax rate is, and will remain, a core part of our offering”. In response to the recommendations contained in the Coffey report last month, a public consultation process has been launched as part of the Update on the International Tax Strategy. Read more

    Caroline McGrath

    Caroline has over 16 years’ experience advising clients on personal and corporation taxation in the SME marketplace. She specialises in corporate restructuring, succession planning and in the area of Revenue Audits. Caroline works extensively with company shareholders and their businesses putting tax plans in place to support each stage of their business development. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an Associate of the Tax Institute of Ireland and the member of ACCA. Prior to joining our firm, Caroline worked with Deloitte and the Revenue Commissioners.

    Caroline has over 16 years’ experience advising clients on personal and corporation taxation in the SME marketplace.     Maria Hewson

    Maria specialises in advising developers, investors and fixed asset receivers on property transactions, with a particular focus on VAT. Maria also advises family business and their owner’s on tax efficient structures and on succession and retirement planning. Maria trained with Kennelly Tax Advisers (formerly Kennelly & Twomey) before moving to Baker Tilly Hughes Blake. Maria holds a Bachelor of Corporate Law and Bachelor of Laws from NUI Galway, a Masters in Law from Trinity College, Dublin and is a Chartered Tax Adviser and an Associate of the Tax Institute of Ireland.

    Brian O’Reilly leads the Global Investment Strategy team at Davy Private Clients and is a member of the Davy Investment Committee. In his role, he is responsible for forming the division’s global investment and asset allocation strategy. Brian began his career as an analyst with Goldman Sachs in London before he went on to join UBS Warburg as a member of the banks global equity strategy team. He then worked for UBS on Wall Street during the financial crisis from 2006–2008, before being appointed Chief Investment Strategist for UBS Wealth Management in London.
